Daniel Farke’s Whites approached the fixture on the back of Friday night’s impressive 2-0 victory at home to previously unbeaten Sheffield United which left Leeds in third place but just three points behind leaders Sunderland and two points behind second-placed Burnley.
With Sunderland and Burnley not playing until Wednesday night, Leeds knew that a victory by two clear goals would send them top. In the end, despite racing into an early 2-0 advantage, the Whites left with a 2-1 success which still moved them back into the division’s automatic promotion places. The bookies were quick to react and this is how they now envisage the final table looking based on the very latest odds.
