There is triple Leeds United interest in an alternative to the World Cup on Saturday afternoon but with disappointment for a young Whites ace.

England face France tonight after Portugal tackle Morocco this afternoon in the final two World Cup quarter-finals in Qatar. But back on English soil, loaned out Leeds duo Charlie Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton are both part of the matchday squad for Millwall who take in a Championship fixture at home to Wigan Athletic in a 3pm kick-off. United’s under-21s defender Cresswell has started Millwall’s last five games but the defender has been dropped to the bench to sit alongside Whites team mate Shackleton. Ian Poveda is also on loan at fellow Championship side Blackpool and on the bench as the Tangerines host Birmingham City in another 3pm kick-off. United’s Lewis Bate might have been in action for Oxford United but their League One hosting of Barnsley was postponed due to a frozen pitch. Salford City, where Jack Jenkins is on loan, have also seen their League Two hosting of Walsall go the same way. Tyler Roberts is on loan at Championship side QPR but the forward is recovering from injury. The Rs host Burnley tomorrow afternoon.
