Leeds United have discovered their second round opponents in the Carabao Cup following Wednesday night’s 2-1 victory against first round opponents Shrewsbury Town at Elland Road.
Second-half strikes from Joe Gelhardt and Pascal Struijk saw the Whites turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 triumph against the League One Shrews and Leeds will now face a second-round trip to League Two side Salford City.
Salford booked their place in round two with a shock success at Championship hosts Preston North End in Tuesday night’s clash at Deepdale which went to penalties after a 2-2 draw.
