The 46-year-old media tycoon initially purchased a 50 per cent stake in the Whites from fellow Italian Massimo Cellino in January 2017, before completing a full takeover the following summer.

Radrizzani has overseen a huge change in fortunes at Elland Road since his arrival four years ago, earning promotion to the Premier League last July under head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s guidance.

United have now enjoyed an impressive first season back in the top flight, which concludes against West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road this afternoon.

The majority owner welcomed fresh investment from NFL giants, San Francisco 49ers, in 2018, and the California-based sports franchise increased their stake in the club in January once more as the club look to push on amongst England's elite.

Radrizzani has now sent a message to supporters as he celebrates a milestone in LS11 on the final day of the Premier League campaign.

"Four years could be [a] long time," he tweeted ahead of the Baggies clash.

"Or it could be so quick if you live intensively and you achieve something unforgettable and you have built your legacy with a special club, a vibrant city and wonderful people around it.

"Thank you Leeds United [you have] let me feel some of best emotions in my life."
