Leeds United enjoyed a fruitful 2022/23 transfer haul, bringing in a total of nine senior players and spending about £80 million in the summer window alone.
They followed up their spending spree in January, welcoming 20-year-old Georginio Rutter from Hoffenheim. The forward’s £35 million price tag eclipsed the club’s previous transfer record set by Rodrigo back in 2020.
As well as Rutter, the likes of Brenden Aaronson and Luis Sinisterra also made the move to Elland Road to contribute to Leeds’ fight to stay in the Premier League.
It has certainly been an eventful couple of windows for the Whites and sporting director Victor Orta, who has been getting deals over the threshold for the club since he joined in 2017.
In the last six years, Orta has finalised 47 permanent player moves to Leeds United. Let’s take a look back at every signing orchestrated by the Spaniard since his first window at Elland Road. How many of these can you remember?

19. Jordan Stevens
After signing from Forest Green in 2018, Jordan Stevens didn’t get much luck with Leeds. He made just six competitive appearances before leaving for Barrow in 2021. | Getty Images

20. Mateusz Klich
A stalwart who was heavily relied on for Leeds. Mateusz Klich was snapped up by Orta in 2017 and went to make 195 appearances and tally 45 goalscoring contributions. | Getty Images

21. Kiko Casilla
Leeds United was Kiko Casilla’s first club abroad after he signed for free in 2019. The Spaniard was No.1 for the Whites until he fell out of favour to Illan Meslier, and eventually left to return to Spain in 2022. | Getty Images

22. Leif Davis
Leif Davis made the move from Morecambe Academy to Leeds in 2018 and was quickly promoted to the senior team. He never quite reached the heights hoped of him though and left after four years to sign for Ipswich Town. | Getty Images

23. Ian Poveda
Ian Poveda joined the Whites from Manchester City’s youth system in 2020. His appearances have been limited and he is currently on his second loan spell. | Getty Images

24. Mateusz Bogusz
This signing went rather under the radar, as Mateusz Bogusz was given just three opportunities with the Leeds senior team before going out on loan twice and eventually signing permanently for Los Angeles FC. | Getty Images
