Leeds United v QPR: Whites odds against to sink Hoops

Garry Monk’s Whites have won eight of their last nine games at Elland Road but can still be wagered at 51-50 with Marathon Bet to beat the Hoops.

QPR, who sit 14th having won their last two games and four of their last five, can be backed at 16-5 with various firms while the draw is on offer at 5-2.

Unsurprisingly, the Championship’s leading goalscorer Chris Wood is a strong 7-2 favourite to score first, with Marcus Antonsson and Mallik Wilks rather strangely the next two in the pecking order at 6-1 and 7-1 respectively.

The bookmakers rate seven-goal Idrissa Sylla as QPR’s biggest goal threat as the Guinean striker is 15-2 fourth favourite to net first just ahead of Kemar Roofe at 15-2 and former Leeds striker Matt Smith at 8s.

United’s Pablo Hernandez, Souleymane Doukara and Alfonso Pedraza are all 17-2 to net first, with QPR’s Conor Washington next at 9s, just ahead of Mo Barrow at 10s.

As far as other Leeds options go, Hadi Sacko and Stuart Dallas are both 12-1 to net first with Kyle Bartley 17-1, Ronaldo Vieira 18-1 and Eunan O’Kane 20s.

Pontus Jansson can be backed at 25s, with Liam Bridcutt 28s and Charlie Taylor 40s, the same price as Luke Ayling and Liam Cooper. Gaetano Berardi is 66s.

A 1-0 win to Leeds is rated the most likely outcome at 6-1 while a reversal of the scoreline from when United visited Loftus Road on the opening day of the season - 3-0 - is 17-1.

As far as United’s play-off prospects go, Monk’s men are now no bigger than 1-8 to finish in the top six.

Leeds can be backed at 33-1 to finish in the top two while Wood is now odds on to finish the Championship’s top scorer.

The New Zealand international is no bigger than 14-19 to win the second tier golden boot, marginally ahead of Newcastle United hitman Dwight Gayle who has scored one league goal less than Wood and is 6-5.

In what looks a two-horse race, Brighton’s Glenn Murray and Bristol City’s Tammy Abraham are next at 33-1.
