BOSS Ian Holloway says his Queens Park Rangers side will face the 'best striker in the division' when confronting Leeds United hitman Chris Wood at Elland Road tomorrow afternoon.

Wood had been available to back at big odds to win the Championship golden boot but the 25-year-old is now leading the charts with 22 goals, one more than Newcastle United front man Dwight Gayle. The New Zealand international has scored 25 goals for Leeds in league and cup this term and is back available for United having missed Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at Fulham with a tight calf.

Chris Wood is the best striker in the division, and we have to try to take care of him,” said Holloway. “Pablo Hernandez behind him in a 4-2-3-1 is really dangerous, and I think they are going to have probably one of the best young midfielders in the division playing in Ronaldo Vieira. He has been sensational.

“It’s a great test for us. Can we go there and get something?

“We are playing a Leeds side that has steadily improved and improved. They are a massive club with huge support. I am delighted to be taking my team to Elland Road.

“We are going to have to accept that Leeds will have more of the ball, and we are going to have to try to stop them, and impose ourselves on them and the game. It won’t be easy but I’m really looking forward to it.”
