Leeds United v Bristol City: Marcelo Bielsa opts for Will Huffer in goal with Aapo Halme handed debut
Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has named Will Huffer as his number one for the visit of Bristol City in the Championship with defender Aapo Halme handed a first-team debut.
Following Bailey Peacock-Farrell's thigh injury in training earlier this week United were plunged into a goalkeeping crisis with no recognised senior stopper available.
The Argentine has opted for the England under-20 international over fellow goalkeeper Kamil Miazek who is named on the bench.
Whites defender Halme has also been handed his debut after Pontus Jansson was ruled out of the clash following a foot injury picked up against West Brom two weeks ago.
Club captain Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips are expected to partner the Finnish defender at the back in a three alongside wing-backs Barry Douglas and Stuart Dallas.
Adam Forshaw is expected to sit in front of the back four with Mateusz Klich further forward along side Pablo Hernandez and Gjanni Alioski with Kemar Roofe leading the line in a 3-3-1-3 formation.
Leeds United XI: Huffer, Halme, Phillips, Cooper, Dallas, Forshaw, Douglas, Klich, Hernandez, Roofe, Alioski. Subs: Miazek, Davis, Clarke, Shackleton, Baker, Harrison, Saiz.
Bristol City XI: Maenpaa, Webster, Brownhill, Weimann, Adelakun, Kelly, Eliasson, Paterson, Pack, Kalas, Hunt. Subs: O'Leary, Pisano, DaSilva, Baker, Diedhiou, Walsh, Eisa.
