Key Battle - Liam Bridcutt v Hope Akpan

Leeds have a problem in the centre of midfield and many of the issues with their performances are stemming from their inability to consistently dominate that area. Bridcutt was second best in the battle with Huddersfield’s Aaron Mooy on Saturday but Blackburn are a more vulnerable team and he has to find a way of running the show tonight. Dominate the middle of the park and Leeds will win.

Key Man - Danny Graham

The striker has returned just one goal in eight games this season and if Blackburn are to have any chance of getting their campaign going, Graham needs to hit some form. He was not far off a ratio of a goal from every two appearances while on loan at Ewood Park last term and no matter his current form, he is always capable of hitting a hot streak.

Phil Hay’s view: ”This is a game which offers no room for excuses. Blackburn are statistically the division’s worst team and those who watch them regularly say they look no better in the flesh. For Garry Monk, a victory is essential. He has hardly had the time to settle into his job but it is always worth remembering that Darko Milanic survived for just 32 days here - a shorter reign than even that of Brian Clough. This mediocre run cannot go on forever.”

Match Odds:

Home win - 11/10

Draw - 5/2

Away win - 14/5
