June may be the month when players are off on their holidays, resting and recuperating, but it can also be a busy month of comings and going for some famous faces.
Today (June 27), for instance, marks the 14-year anniversary of David O’Leary’s sacking by Peter Ridsdale as photographers camped outside his Harrogate home for a picture.
Two years later, David Batty retired from the game after two spells with United.
