Head of Medicine and Performance Rob Price: “We are all disappointed for Luke but the prognosis could have been worse, the injury to the ligament is isolated and the rest of his knee is fine which is encouraging.
"It is our job now as a medical department to work closely with the player and get him back involved as soon as possible, stronger than ever”.
Patrick Bamford
Injury: Posterior Cruciate Ligament damage (knee)

Hide AdDirector of Football Victor Orta: “This is clearly disappointing news for Patrick and for everyone at Leeds United.
“Patrick has settled in well, quickly becoming an important player for Marcelo Bielsa and a popular part of the group.
“We have an excellent medical team at the club and Patrick is in the best possible hands, he will be back available to us during an important part of the season and he will still play a key role in our campaign.”
Head of Medicine and Performance Rob Price: “Patrick is a very fit footballer and whilst this is a setback for all concerned, we have spoken to some of the best consultants in the country to make the correct diagnosis quickly.

Head of Medicine and Performance Rob Price: "Pat is now five weeks post injury. He went to see our consultant again last week and has been taken out of his brace so he's been able to progress his rehab quite nicely this week.
"We've got to rebuild his quad muscle that he lost whilst he was in the brace and we're now looking at his functional work outside but it's all good so far."
Izzy Brown

October...
Head of Medicine and Performance Rob Price: "He's making great progress. We're in good conversation and regular conversation with Chelsea about what we do with him and how we progress and so far everyone is happy.
"We're not putting any time on when he's going to be back playing. It all depends on how he gets through the functional stuff he has to work towards."
Gaetano Berardi
Injury: Hamstring
Expected return: February
What has been said...
October...
Marcelo Bielsa: "Gaetano Berardi has an injury which is not a simple one. You sometimes have injuries provoked by external pressure - a hyper extension. He received an external pressure on the corner [of his hamstring] and he had to extend his muscle more than he could bare it."
Pontus Jansson
