Leeds United fans remember Istanbul deaths 18 years on

Leeds United fans came together to remember Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight at Craven Cottage.

The two Whites fans tragically lost their lives before United’s UEFA Cup tie against Galatasaray in Turkey 18 years ago this week.

United fans remembered the pair in the 18th minute during Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at Fulham by turning their backs on the game.

The anniversary falls on April 5 with the visit to Craven Cottage the closet fixture to that date.

United fans also used the hashtag #RIPChrisandKev across social media to share pictures and videos of the tribute.
