Guiseley v Barrow: Lions well on the road to reaching their target

On a weekend where most of their peers are in FA Cup action, Guiseley today have a chance to reach a significant milestone.

The Lions host Barrow knowing that victory would take the club on to 26 points - and more than halfway to the target set by manager Mark Bower for survival.

“There is a real incentive,” said Bower, whose side were knocked out of the Cup last month by FC Halifax Town.

“We can move above Barrow, a team who we have had some good battles against in the past few seasons.

“We target 50 points to survive and if we get three on Saturday, we are over halfway there.”

Adam Smith, former Halifax winger, could make his debut after joining on loan from Wrexham earlier this week.
