British and Commonwealth Games champion Armitstead (Boels Dolmans) reclaimed the series lead from Anna van der Breggen (Rabo Liv) to defend the title she won in 2014.

Armitstead wrote on Twitter: “Thank you @boelsdolmansct we did it, a win today and the overall World Cup Victory is ours. Proud as punch.”
