Final chance help Bramley Baths reach fundraising target to protect Edwardian heritage treasure

In a last push to reach the £350,000 fundraising target for Bramley Baths, you can buy shares to help protect its future and receive benefits such as private pool parties.

Edwardian heritage treasure Bramley Baths has until the end of February to hit its £350,000 fundraising target.

The Leeds jewel is crowdfunding to raise additional funds to repair and restore the roof, while also installing new energy-saving features.

Part of the total has already been raised and community supporters are being offered a last chance to buy shares before Friday 28th February, to reach the target and protect Leeds’ last Edwardian baths for the future.

Bramley Baths CEO David Wilford said: “There has been a quiet revolution with the community shares model, as a way of ethically raising finance for large projects such as this. People can get involved from as little as £50 and not only own their piece of Bramley history, but also contribute to our sustainability and support our commitment to being carbon neutral by 2030.”

What will my money pay for?

Bramley Baths has been a treasured asset in the local community in Leeds for more than 120 years. It currently provides swimming, gym and other classes for the local community and the project is to raise funds to maintain and protect it for the future.

Full repairs are needed for the roof in the coming year. Roof lanterns throughout the building are damaged and leaks continue to risk further damage to the steam room floor, original ironwork in the gym space, pool hall and studio roof.

Bramley Baths is more than just a building. For generations, it has been championed by local residents who have learned to swim, dance and race there. The fundraising project will help to secure it for more generations to come at the last remaining, fully functional Edwardian bath house in Leeds.

· For as little as £50 you can have your say in how the baths are run with access to Annual General Meetings, as well as a free swim voucher and chance to feature on their virtual thank you wall.

· For £200 you will also receive a special Bramley Baths pin badge, mug and tote bag to show your support.

· For £500, you will also receive 15% off unlimited monthly membership for you and your family, or team members in your business.

· Or £1,000 will also give you an hour of private pool hire for you and your family or team members.

Can I get my money back?

Yes, after three years you can apply to get your money back or choose to continue with your investment.

In the meantime, you can also choose to receive up to 5% interest on your investment.
