These photos puts the brilliant into Bramley as they showcase a year in the life of the west Leeds suburb at the back end of the 1960s. They turn the spotlight on 1968 and bring into focus a range of housing estates, streets and local landmarks which are sure to evoke memories for a generation of people who called LS13 home back in the day. Memories of Gamble Hill estate, Ring road, Spring Valley estate, Henconner Lane and Pudsey Road are all featured. The photos are published courtesy of photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service. They also run heritage blog The Secret Library Leeds, which provides a behind the scenes look at the Central Library and highlights from its special collections, including rare books hidden away in the stacks.
