1990 was a year of change and challenges for your city and its proud residents. It was a 12 months which featured the unveiling of a city centre landmark which is still enjoyed by visitors to this day and the launch of a new live venue. The photos also feature memories from the city suburbs with Pudsey, Sherburn-in-Elmet, Guiseley, Cookridge, Bramley and Yeadon are all in focus. The images are a mix from the YEP archive and others published courtesy of photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service. They also run heritage blog The Secret Library Leeds, which provides a behind the scenes look at the Central Library and highlights from its special collections, including rare books hidden away in the stacks.
