Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All are now the proud organisers of the 10k run having been organised by Age UK for the past 40-plus years.
However, Age UK has very much remained involved in the event as the lead partner charity.
Starting on Wellington Street, the race moved its way through the city centre, up Kirkstall Road towards Kirkstall Abbey before returning to the city centre for the finish.
All of those taking part received a medal as they crossed the finishing line.
The men’s race was won by James McMurray from St Albans, who led from the start, while the women’s title was taken by Melisa Courtney-Bryant.
The Leeds Abbey Dash has officially been selected as the England Athletics 10K Championship event, making it a key fixture on the national road racing calendar with a renewed focus on elite performance and mass participation.
