Popular Leeds city centre bar closes to 'move site' just months after Wellington Pizza Pub shuts

A popular Leeds city centre bar has closed to 'move site' just months after its sister restaurant Wellington Pizza Pub shut down.

The DOC bar, on Wellington Street, has closed for good after merging with another bar in the city centre.

The former pizza and prosecco bar will now become part of Hoist House on Whitehall Road, which opened in early December 2019.

A spokesman for the bar shared thew news on their Facebook page, saying: "*DOC HAS MOVED SITE* We have set up shop with our friends Hoist House.

"Our kitchen will be serving our lovely fresh pizzas from midday tomorrow alongside our neighbours. Who’s hungry?"

The move follows the closure of the popular Wellington Pizza Pub, formerly known as Buca di Pizza, in December 2019.
