You silly moo! Fire crew to the rescue after Yorkshire cow gets head trapped in tree

Firefighters released a cow after she got her head stuck in a tree.

Officers were called to a field in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, and used straps and farm machinery to try to pull her out.

A vet joined the operation, which involved at least four firefighters, and the cow was sedated before the crew used saws and other tools to free her.

North Yorkshire Fire Service tweeted pictures of the rescue which ended with a photo of the black cow freed and grazing in her field.

The tweet said it was a “happy ending for all”.
