IT was the words of Leeds legend Eddie Gray speaking at the unveiling of Bremner Square yesterday that summed up the appreciation of the new area and the man himself - quality.
The square, which surrounds Billy’s statue at Elland Road, was opened to fans for the first time - fittingly in the week that the club lost another hero Paul Madeley.
Legend may be an over-used words but not in the case of these giants of Leeds United history.
Another in that category Norman Hunter, said yesterday: “I think the fans will be very impressed with this.” We think so too - it’s absolutely first class.
