YEP Says: On the search for more sport stars

Our medal-winning Olympian is one of Leeds’s greats and we wish him all the best for further success in Rio.

The triathlon star was in Thorner yesterday helping, perhaps, to inspire the next generation of Olympic heroes and heroines.

He said: “I got a lot of enjoyment from sport when I was growing up.

“If we can encourage today’s kids to do the same then I’m right behind that.”

We’re right behind you on that one, Jonny. If we can make sport accessible and fun, we might find another few medal hopefuls.
