YEP Says: Leeds landmark which is worth saving
IF YOU are over a certain age and from Leeds, the Majestic will always have a place in your hearts.
If you’re younger, you may know the building as the Majestyk.
Whichever you remember, you will know it as a major landmark which was badly damaged by a fire in September 2014. It seemed the building may have been lost.
But enw plans to breathe new life into it have been drawn up to create stylish offices. It would have been a shame to have this Grade II-listed building. We hope it can be revived in a way which does justice to the memories of such a landmark.
