THESE ARE hard times for arts groups. Austerity tends to mean funding for such organisations comes under pressure.
So we hope Phoenix Dance Theatre - which has been a beacon of excellence in Leeds for 35 years - succeeds with its biggest ever fundraising campaign.
Phoenix is the longest established arts group of its kind outside London and is a wonderful ambassador for Leeds and the wider region.
The ‘Give 35 for 35 years’ is an ambitious programme. But Phoenix has always succeeded against the odds. Don’t bet on it not succeeding this time.
