A police officer has described the Women's Institute as the '˜biggest organised crime group' - because they pick wild berries and sell them at fetes.

Sergeant Colin Norden of Cambridgeshire Police said making a profit on the berries is technically breaking the law. But he reassured members by revealing the police would never prosecute over it.
