It’s thanks to a new partnership with the Canal and River Trust charity.

The charity, which looks after the 200-year-old Leeds and Liverpool Canal which flows alongside Rodley, has set up an agreement that will enable the installation of a Christmas tree next to the canal. Light Up Rodley takes place on Friday, December 1 from 7pm at both The Owl Rodley and The Barge Rodley with refreshments and performances. Funds raised on the night be reinvested into the community for future events. Volunteers and staff from the Canal and River Trust will be hosting a roadshow on the night, sharing tips and information about how to enjoy the waterway.
