NHS Leeds West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has designed the #forgetfulfriend campaign to encourage people to remember their doctor’s appointments or to cancel it if they cannot make it.

The campaign is based on research with 237 patients who failed to attend at the surgery. It revealed four out of 10 people who did not turn up had simply forgotten their appointment, and only one in four tried to cancel it.

The #forgetfulfriend campaign, which includes a picture of a man who has forgotten his trousers, encourages people to share funny experiences on twitter.
