The Met Office has put the yellow weather warning in place between 4am and 10am today.

The forecaster has advised people to expect disrupted journey times.

There is also a chance of delays or cancellations to flight.

The frost and fog is expected to slowly clear throughout the morning.

It will then stay dry for most of the afternoon but winds will strengthen.

Maximum temperatures will be seven degrees.

Patchy rain is expected throughout the evening.

Minimum temperatures will be four degrees.

Looking to the weekend, Saturday will be bright with sunny spells.

It will get cloudier into the afternoon, with strong gales.

A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued in Leeds on Sunday.

There will be heavy overnight rain and blustery showers throughout Sunday.

The Met Office forecasts widespread gales which will be 'severe'.
