Warning of snow and ice in Leeds as temperatures set to plummet

Weather experts at the Met Office predict severe weather could hit the city overnight, bringing travel disruption.
The yellow weather warning lasts from 9pm tonight (Wednesday) until 10am tomorrow.

Forecasters warn to expect longer journey times by road, bus and train and possible injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
The Met Office forecast for Leeds says: "Showers, with blustery winds, becoming more frequent and increasingly wintry during the evening, with risk of snow in many areas.
"Showers will ease later. It will feel cold in the wind, with icy stretches possible on untreated surfaces. Minimum temperature 0C.
