The weather warning begins at 6pm today and is in place until 10am on Tuesday.

Other parts of the UK are going to see ice and snow for even longer.

The Met Office forecast said: "Icy surfaces developing, with a little snow in places.

"Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces are to be expected and probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths"

The Met Office says temperatures in Yorkshire will be as low as 0 degrees, climbing to peaks of just 3 degrees C - perfect snow weather.

Although the forecast in Leeds is only for cloud, with the odd rain shower, the snow and ice warning itself is in place, so there is a possibility of a smattering of the white stuff.
