A power cut is affecting more 1000 homes in Leeds due to Storm Ciara.

According to the Northern PowerGrid live map, more than 1000 properties currently have no power.

The power cut covers LS12,LS14,LS15,LS24,LS25 and LS17.

Northern PowerGrid said: "The power cut affecting your property has been caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment that serve your area."

Power is not expected to be restored until at least midnight.
