Leeds weekend weather forecast: Sun to shine across city as temperatures continue to soar in heatwave

The glorious weather in Leeds is set to continue over the weekend as temperatures soar in a heatwave.

The weekend will begin with a mainly sunny and slightly cloudy day on Friday with highs of 20C.

As the sun sets at 9.29pm, clear skies will continue into Saturday morning as the sun rises with a clear blue setting.

From around 3pm on Saturday, Leeds might start to see some cloud as the sun peeps through as the afternoon and evening progresses.

There will be soaring temperatures with highs of 22C across Leeds before the sun sets at 9.31pm.

Sunday will be another hot and sunny day with highs of 21C throughout.

The Met Office forecast in full:

Friday: Sunny for most, but hazier towards Humberside with cloud thickening from the south through the morning. Likely staying dry, however the odd spot of rain cannot be completely ruled out where cloud thickens. Feeling warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Friday night: Dry, with cloud across Humberside only gradually clearing east. Clear skies expected elsewhere, and turning chilly. Areas of mist and fog possibly developing by dawn. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Saturday: Any early mist and fog patches soon lifting. A mainly dry day follows, with sunny spells and variable cloud. Feeling warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Warm sunny spells and variable cloud expected through the period, although perhaps cloudier on Sunday. Many parts staying dry, but the risk of showers throughout. Rather chilly overnight periods.
