Leeds weather: Hour-by-hour Met Office forecast as River Aire at risk of flooding

Two flood alerts have been issued for Leeds today as river levels are expected to rise.

People are being urged to prepare as an amber weather warning for rain was issued by the Met Office for Tuesday to Thursday in Yorkshire.

Tuesday is set to be a washout in Leeds as Storm Christoph hits the UK, bringing heavy showers and strong winds later in the day.

A flood alert is in place for the Middle River Aire catchment, which runs through Leeds, as well as three becks across the city.
