As temperatures continue to soar across the city, photographer Gerard Binks took to high vantage points to capture how the city is basking in continuous sunshine

Temperatures have continued to climb across West Yorkshire this week, leaving Leeds bathed in continuous sunshine - but today (Friday) looks to be the hottest day ahead of the weekend.

Following a peak of 32c today, temperatures across Leeds are forecast to ease slightly over the weekend while remaining warm.

According to the Met Office, Saturday is set to bring clear conditions with highs of 27c and an overnight minimum of 16c.

The stable summer weather will continue into Sunday with highs reaching 26c before dropping to a cooler low of 13c.

Heading into next week, Monday will remain bright and dry with temperatures reaching 25c.

To document the weather milestone, Yorkshire Evening Post photographer Gerard Binks captured these views from high vantage points across the city on Thursday, as the height of the heatwave continued.
