Although government and police are stressing that people must not drive to beauty spots, parks or beaches, those who are able to walk to parks and country trails within range of their home will be able to soak up a little of the sunshine to break up the isolation.

The Met Office says temperatures will peak at 16C on Monday, followed by two days of sunshine and peaks of 17C on Tuesday and Wednesday.

"Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

The rules state that people should only go outside once per day for exercise, other than for food, medicine and key work, and must not travel to outdoor spaces using their car.
