It's going to be a good time to be sat in the garden, but not such a good time to be held in lockdown, as temperatures soar to 18 degrees C from Monday and stay steady all week.

From 7am on Sunday, blazing sunshine is predicted by the Met Office, right through to 10am when clouds begin to gather. The temperature will peak at 18 degrees C.

While Monday will be a touch cooler and cloudier, the temperature will still be 14 degrees, followed by 15C on Tuesday.

Here is the full weekly forecast:

Sunday - Sunshine followed by some cloud cover. Max temperature 18C.

Tuesday - Very sunny, mostly clear skies. Max temperature 15C

Wednesday - Overcast but still warmer than this week. Max temperature 16C

Thursday - Still cloudy but warmer again, max temperature 17C.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Dry, warm and breezy with long sunny spells on Sunday. Overnight cloud and rain soon clearing to sunshine and scattered showers on Monday, then Tuesday dry with sunny spells."

Of course, the hot weather does not mean people will be allowed to flout lockdown restrictions, and police will still be out enforcing the new rules to stop people from leaving their houses without good reason.
