Police officers were called to a woman who was stood on the wrong side of the railings on a bridge over the M1 in Leeds.

- Exit the M1 onto the M621
- Exit the M621 at J7
- At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the A639
- Re-join the M1 at J44
- Exit the M1 at J44
- At the roundabout, join the A639 and proceed along to the M621 J7
- Join the M621 at J7 and continue along this road to re-join the M1 southbound
Ongoing police incident on the M1 near Leeds
The M1 is closed in both directions near Leeds due to an ongoing incident.
West Yorkshire Police are at the scene.
Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and may wish to consider alternative routes.
M1 closed from Leeds to Rothwell:
Highways England tweeted: "M1 closed in both directions J43 Leeds to J44 Rothwell due to a police incident. Updates to follow."
