A yellow weather warning for a thunderstorm covering most of the UK has been issued, meaning there could be flooding and disruption in a few places.

After a stormy evening the weather will start to settle overnight, but Saturday is set to be a washout - with storms expected at midday and through most of the afternoon.

Paddy Billington spotted stormy clouds from Skelton Lake Services on the M1, near Temple Newsam.
