Every flood alert issued for Leeds as flooding 'expected' after heavy snow

There are seven flood alerts and one flood warning issued for Leeds by the Government's Flood Information Service.

One flood warning is in place for the River Aire at Allerton Ings, near Allerton Bywater.

The flood service warns that immediate action is required and flooding is expected - as Allerton Ings has spilled.

There remains a risk of flood waters affecting Barnsdale Road and the flooding incident room is monitoring the situation as heavy rain and snow falls today.

There are also seven flood alerts issued for the city - where residents are urged to 'be prepared' for flooding.
