The two-year reconstruction of a fire-damaged Leeds air conditioning company has been condensed into a four-minute video.

Airedale International in Rawdon suffered major damage in a fire in September 2013.

Construction started on the new facility started two months later and was completed in January.

The site has an area of 23,000 sq m – the size of three football pitches – with all production and testing on a single storey under one roof.

The new facility also features one of the biggest research and development centres in Europe.

Managing director Clive Parkman said: “The project has taken a lot of effort from everyone involved and is an important step forward in Airedale’s strategy, strengthening our position as a leader and competitor in all of our key markets.

“The new factory will allow us to expand production to meet both domestic and export demand in the next few years. Along with this greater production capacity there will be growth opportunities across the company and throughout our supply chain.”
