Walk of Friendship through Leeds

The Walk of Friendship took place in Leeds last weekend, with plenty braving the wet weather.

The event, which is organised by Concord Leeds Interfaith Fellowship, aims to foster friendship, trust and understanding among the members of the faith communities of multi-cultural Leeds.

The walk started out from the Friends Meeting House on Woodhouse Lane and saw those in attendance make their way to Saint Augustine’s Church, the Leeds Makkah Masjid Mosque and the Leeds Hindu Temple.

A short presentation was given in each of the places of worship, and a lunch was served at the Hindu Temple.

Concord is one of the oldest interfaith groups in the UK, founded 40 years ago.
