Wakefield Trinity Wildcats player charged with driving offence

A Wakefield Trinity Wildcats player has been charged with driving without due care and attention in connection with an incident in Hull.

Tim Smith, 30, was also charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis following the incident on Mrytle Way, Brough, on Sunday.

A Wildcats spokesman said: “The club has been made aware of the incident.

“A full investigation has been launched and the club are co-operating fully with Humberside Police, the RFL and RL Cares.”

Mr Smith has been bailed and is due to appear before East Yorkshire Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 30.
