Video - Pensioner scoops a gardening prize for the 30th year in a row

Green-fingered Dennis Shaw won his first horticultural prize aged just ten when he was at school.

Now aged 82, Dennis’ hobby has continued to blossom - and he’s been crowned winner of Hull In Bloom again, after first winning the prize in 1986. His creative cultivation for this year’s entry included a symphony of yellow roses, asters, carnations and dahlias, caught the eyes of the judges once more. “From daisies to dandelions, all flowers are beautiful and I love them all,” he said.
