Video: This is the moment a man landed himself in court after he was filmed swallowing a GOLDFISH
Alexander David Mackey, 21, of Plymouth, Devon, was brought by the RSPCA after a video emerged of him eating the fish whole after getting drunk at a fair.
He was charged under Animal Welfare Act 2006 of not meeting the needs of and causing unnecessary suffering to a goldfish by swallowing it. He appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court today (Friday) and pleaded guilty. He was ordered to pay fines and cost totalling £752 and banned from keeping fish for five years.
