The group of youngsters were invited to help run the hotel for a day as they greeted guests on reception, made beds and stirred up a storm in the kitchen.

Michael Purtill, Managing Director at QHotels which runs Oulton Hall, said: “To celebrate the start of our partnership, we wanted to embrace the playful nature of childhood.

“The work that the NSPCC does is so incredibly important and to be able to give our guests and employees the opportunity to be part of such a significant cause is wonderful.”
