York musician asked to MOVE because his music was CLASHING with piped Christmas songs coming from grotto
Johnny Walker, who has been busking for the past 15 years, pitched up in one of York’s most famous squares next to a newly erected Santa’s grotto when he was told his tunes had been getting complaints. Santa’s grotto staff then asked him to move on or play Christmas songs exclusively because his music was spoiling the festive atmosphere. Talking about the incident, Johnny said the staff waited until he had gathered a small crowd before coming.
