The blue Volkswagen Golf involved in the incident was found in Fagley Crescent, Bradford, in the early hours of this morning following a call from a member of the public.

It has now been recovered for forensic examination.

A 23-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Officers have also recovered a white Audi A5 in Bingley which was believed to be travelling in convoy with the Golf at the time of the collision. Two men, aged 25 and 27, both from Bradford, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in relation to the Audi’s involvement.

Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Belton, of West Yorkshire Police Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: “The recovery of these vehicles and these arrests are significant developments in the investigation. We are however still urgently appealing for information to trace the whereabouts of Majid Malik and Adnan Ahmed and urge anyone who knows where they are to contact us immediately.”
