Mr Clark, who worked as a chef at Oulton Hall near Leeds, was on the island for the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling.

A statement released on behalf of his parents Beverley and Andrew said: “Lewis was a happy, fun-loving young man who could light up a room with his presence.”

The crash happened on the A18 Mountain Road.

The statement went on: “Lewis worked as a chef and was proud to show off his creations in the kitchen, but biking was his passion.

“He spent four years visiting the Isle of Man and loved nothing more than riding around the mountain roads on the island he referred to as ‘his mountain.’

“Our hearts have been broken into a million pieces knowing we will never see Lewis again. We take some comfort knowing he died happy, doing his favourite thing, on the road he loved most in the world.”
