The C-17 Globemaster aircraft will be spotted in Leeds and Bradford this afternoon whilst engaged 'in essential training', according to RAF Brize Norton.

The training is necessary and routine and is not connected with RAF support to the UK's fight against Coronavirus, it was confirmed.

The full social media post from RAF Brize Norton said: "This afternoon, our C-17 Globemaster aircraft will be operating in the vicinity of Leeds and Bradford, whilst engaged in essential training.

The Globemaster has a 'fly-off' value of £177m.

There have only been 279 built in the world.

The primary users are the United States Air Force.
