Severe traffic delays across Leeds city centre as buses forced to divert

There are currently huge delays for commuters across Leeds city centre - with buses forced to divert due to the traffic chaos.

First West Yorkshire said buses are experiencing delays up to half an hour due to traffic building up around the city centre.

However, many Leeds residents have contacted the YEP to complain of longer delays at Westgate and around the centre.

"We are currently experiencing delays to some of our Leeds services between 15 and 30 minutes due to traffic building around the city centre.

"Services currently affected are: 2, 3, 3A, 12, 13, 13A, 34, 51, 52"

Services X6 and 72 have been diverted via Wellington Street and King Street due to heavy traffic at Westgate, First bus confirmed.
